• Nexera MP (SIL-30ACMP) Ultra-high-speed multi-sample processing using SIL-30ACMP Multiplate Autosampler To speed up R&D in such areas as pharmacokinetics (drug manufacturing), it has become increasingly necessary to analyze large numbers of samples at high speed and high precision. In response to these demands, the new Nexera MP Ultra High Performance Liquid Chromatograph utilizing the SIL-30ACMP Multiplate Autosampler was developed. The SIL-30ACMP achieves an ultrafast injection performance exceeding that of current models while maintaining ultralow carryover performance. In addition, up to 6 microtiter plates can be loaded, enabling a maximum of 2304 samples to be analyzed continuously. • UV-2600 / UV-2700 UV-2600 Expanded Wavelength range up to 1400 nm The UV-2600 is a research grade single monochromator UV-Vis spectrophotometer in a compact design. By adopting a low stray light diffraction grating (LO-RAY-LIGH®) developed by the Shimadzu Optical Device and Laser Department, the instrument achieve the lowest stray light levels in its class and allows the analysis of samples including organic and inorganic compounds, biological samples, optical materials, and photovoltaics in a wavelength range from 185 to 1400 nm in combination with the optional dual detector integrating sphere ISR-2600Plus. The new UVProbe Version 2.40 system control software has been upgraded and includes new functionality as well as the validation software as a standard. UV-2700 High Absorbance level up to 8 Abs. The double monochromator UV-VIS spectrophotometer UV-2700 has achieved the world's lowest level of stray light (0.00005% at 220nm) and highest efficiency throughput using the unique optical design. The heart of the optical system are the LO-RAY-LIGH® diffraction gratings based on Shimadzu’s new holographic exposure method and optimized etching process, which allows an ultra high absorbance level of 8 Abs. The measurement of high density samples is possible without dilution. For pharmaceutical and other applications requiring hardware validation, the UV-2600/2700 series provides integrated validation software. USP, EP and JP test requirements are supported. • Multi-Shot Pyrolyzer EGA/PY-3030D/S The new extremely flexible pyrolyzer EGA/PY-3030D from Frontier Lab is based on the proven technique of vertical micro furnace, as its successful parent PY-2020iD/iS. The new model PY-3030D is equipped with a low ceramic heater featuring improved thermal stability and a new extended temperature range of 40 – 1050 °C. Now also very temperature stable polymer compounds can be cracked. The re-designed needle interface ensures thermal uniformity and easier maintenance. The special design of the furnace, the optimized temperature control of all critical parts of the system and the inertness of the flow path guarantee an outstanding reproducibility. Due to the change to a low mass ceramic heater the pyrolyzer heats and cools very quickly. So the cycle time of the furnace could be sped up to about 3 times faster and more samples than ever can be handled. Productivity can be increased even further using the AS-1020E autosampler with its sample carousel accommodating up to 48 sample cups. Different samplers are available extending the application range of the pyrolyzer. Only by changing the sampler the user can choose between Single-Shot/Double-Shot Pyrolysis (Thermal Desorption and Pyrolysis), liquid Injection, (High Pressure) Reactive Pyrolysis and UV irradiation and subsequent measurement of volatiles released from the sample or pyrolysis of the irradiated sample. For interpretation of the pyrograms Frontier Lab provides the recently upgraded F-Search Software package (Ver.3.1) with special Libraries like EGA & Pyrogram libraries as well as an Additive and a Pyrolyzate library, to make identification and characterization of unknown polymeric material easier and more convenient.
