Soil cleaning
For the cleaning of waste materials we have amongst others the following techniques:
Soil treatment, also called wet cleaning, is a technique that uses physical/chemical separation processes. This method is used for cleaning sandy mineral waste products which are contaminated with mineral oils, heavy metals, asbestos, PAH, cyanide, pesticides, chlorinated hydrocarbons and combinations of these.
Thermal treatment is used for contaminated mineral waste materials with which the contamination can only be separated by thermal desorption, like contaminations with organic components. These could include soil from gasworks, refineries and other processes where heavy contaminations may be released.
