ASTI (Automatismos y Sistemas de Transporte Interno) is an international family owned founded in 1982 in Burgos, Spain, which activity involves the engineering and development of made to measure solutions for internal logistics. ASTI activity goes from the project analysis in material handling and internal logistics to the development, manufacture and starting up of the designed solutions, as well as all the maintenance services along the installation life.

ASTI team, which is formed by over 80% of engineers and highly qualified technical staff, is organized into three large business areas:
- Conveying and material(s) handling systems
- AGV systems
- IT systems

All kind of solutions that involve a permanent physical implementation are developed by the area of Conveying and Materials handling systems, such as all kind of conveyor and assembly lines, transfer systems, lifts, production system linkage, automatic and semiautomatic handling systems, miniloads, end of line systems, picking lines… making possible the transportation of all kind of loads from light units to packages or boxes up to large and heavy loads such as motors and aeronautic tooling.

The AGV area, designs and manufactures transport solutions for punctual movements of the load, by vehicles which do not need driver.
ASTI, Spanish leader in manufacturing this kind of autoguided vehicles, has developed its own range, to transport all kind of loads at various heights, with various guiding systems according to the application to automate ( laser, magnetic spots, optical strip, magnetic strip…) and in different environments (indoor, outdoor, deep-frozen).

Where movements cannot be automated, other solutions are required to optimize the necessary resources in order to minimize the associated costs in internal logistics. In this scenario the IT systems area develops various software solutions for warehouse management: picking systems, traceability, labeling and marking or production management. This software gets integrated with the main global management computing systems such as SAP, Navision, or JD Edwards

The developed solutions by ASTI have contributed to achieve significant cost savings as well as significant quality improvements in its customers’ supplies, among them there are main, leading multinational companies from sectors as diverse as food and beverage, aeronautics, automotive, pharmacy, metal wiring, cosmetics, hospital or banking.

Another relevant strategic line for ASTI is the internationalization of its activities. Today, from our headquarters in Burgos, projects throughout Europe and emerging markets as China are being designed and installed.
In addition, the creation of ASTI Iberoamericana has led the company towards the opening of Latin American markets.
