  • Delfi delivers Breece System to EUROSPAR, Søhus in Odense - Denmark

EUROSPAR, Søhus in Odense - Denmark

"It is a time-saving solution that has reduced the number of complaints from our customers due to price errors."

    Thomas Rasmussen.
Grocer at EUROSPAR Søhus in Odense.

With Delfi Breece System, EUROSPAR now displays correct prices both at the shelf label and at checkout. This helps to reduce the number of customer complaints related to price errors. The majority of EUROSPAR’s customers are happy and satisfied with the electronic shelf label solution and the shift from paper labels.

There is also great satisfaction among the employees. Thomas Rasmussen, who is grocer at EUROSPAR Søhus, says:

“Our employees are very satisfied with the shift to full graphic electronic shelf labels, especially on Monday morning, when they can really feel a difference. Price changes and special offers are launched every Monday. The previous solution with paper labels required us to print the labels and go through the entire store in order to change the labels at the shelves. The fact that employees no longer need to do this manual work is an extremely high satisfaction factor.”

The EUROSPAR store previously spent 14-15 hours every week replacing paper labels and there was a lot of waste because not all the printed labels were used. Today, EUROSPAR spends a maximum of 2 hours a week managing the electronic shelf labels. This time can instead be used on other tasks in the store – e.g. serving customers, product replenishment, etc.

    Thomas continues:

“The employees are also very happy about the fact that they avoid all the complaints
that were associated with price errors. We spend less time on weekly price changes
and have better control over the pricing now. It is a time-saving solution that has
reduced the number of complaints from our customers related to price errors."

Thomas Rasmussen explains the installation process:

“The installation process was simple and went smoothly. The store was open during the
installation and we could serve our customers simultaneously. I estimate the return on
investment to be two years. It is a solution I will gladly recommend to other grocers."

  • Delfi delivers Breece System to SuperBest, Østerfælled Torv in Copenhagen - Denmark

SuperBest, Østerfælled Torv in Copenhagen - Denmark

"At SuperBest, it’s all about our customers. The solution with electronic shelf labels has improved our customer service significantly."

    Ole Strecker.
Grocer at SuperBest, Østerfælled Torv in Copenhagen

At SuperBest there is a very strong focus on customer service. With Delfi Breece System, SuperBest has eliminated its reputation for displaying prices in the store that did not match prices at checkout. The solution has helped to improve customer service, and freed up staff members’ time which instead can be used on other tasks in the store.

Kristian Kennebo, store manager at the SuperBest store, says:

“We spent too much time on printing shelf labels and it was a problem that many of the printed labels disappeared and never reappeared on the shelves. As a result, the price displayed on some shelf labels did not match the data in our store system and the price the customer had seen on a shelf label in the store was not always the same as the price at checkout. With the fully graphic electronic shelf labels, our prices are always correct and we have improved our customer service significantly."

    Kristian continues:

“Today we spend a minimal amount of time updating the prices and we can let the system do most of the work. This also means that we can save a lot of staff time.
There are no longer problems with the prices and we do not have to go through
the store and correct labels at the shelves when prices are incorrect. We also
avoid spending time on printing new labels and placing them on the shelves. It’s
something our employees are really happy about, they avoid all this manual work
and we can now focus on other tasks in the store."

Ole Strecker, grocer at SuperBest Østerfælled Torv, explains the installation process:

“The installation was simple and took place in parallel with a renovation and moder-
nization of our store. So when we reopened, the store was equipped with electronic
shelf labels. The ease of installation was an important factor in helping us to form
the basis for choosing this solution. We have seen other solutions where the
installation is more complicated and requires a lot of wires throughout the store
    and a more complex infrastructure."

  • Delfi delivers Breece System to Bunnpris Blindern- Norway

    Bunnpris Blindern - Norway

"The system has made my day much easier. I can now press “Enter” when I want to make price changes – it takes me one second and that’s it – easy and good."

    Steinar Sørum.
Grocer at Bunnpris Blindern in Norway.

With Delfi Breece System and the new full graphical electronic shelf labels from ZBD Displays Ltd., the Bunnpris store in Blindern now has a solution that makes it faster and easier to manage price changes. When Bunnpris needs to connect a new product with an electronic shelf label, the store simply scans the product and then the electronic shelf label - and that’s it.

At the Bunnpris store there are between 200-300 price changes a week. The store also launches special promotions every day around lunch time, which includes special offers on 10-15 different new products each day. Previously, when the Bunnpris store used paper shelf labels, there was a need to change shelf labels every day for the special campaigns. The solution with the full graphical electronic shelf labels has almost eliminated the time spent on daily price changes and promotions.

This creates great satisfaction at Bunnpris in Blindern where Steinar Sørum is grocer.

“The system has made my day much easier. I can now press “Enter” when I want to make price changes – it takes me one second and that’s it – easy and good,”
    explains Steinar Sørum.

It is not only the grocer that is satisfied with the new solution. The employees think
that the solution is very simple to use.

    Steinar continues:

"The staff thinks that there are many advantages to using the electronic shelf labels.
With the old solution they were used to go and pick the paper labels in the back office
and replace them in the store. So, in the beginning they thought that they should
take the electronic shelf label to the back office in order to update it – but I said no,
you just scan the items to be linked to the electronic shelf labels and then go to the
back office and dock the handheld terminal – and then the data will be transferred.
When they realized this, they really understood that the system is very simple."

Steinar Sørum explains the installation process:

“The installation of the system was not difficult. I got help from Visma to manage the
software and to put up the electronic shelf labels in store was not difficult, once you’ve
tried first the rest is easy to manage. So I was thinking about the time savings – and it
    was an advantage itself."
