
Mälardalen – Sweden’s biggest market for car workshops
The Swedish car service market is undergoing structural changes and deregulation that open the way to interesting business opportunities. In Sweden, car services and repairs (including tyres, glass and bodywork) have an annual turnover of around SEK 37 billion. The Stockholm region is by far the country’s biggest market for car workshops, with almost half of Sweden’s cars and more than 1200 workshops. There is thus a clear need for a meeting place for the car workshop industry.
After contacting around 100 car workshops in Mälardalen we have specified the current main issues and challenges. It is clear that the workshops want a regional forum where they can develop their skills in order to work more efficiently, to meet existing and future suppliers, see new products and do business.
easyFairs BILVERKSTAD (CAR WORKSHOP), which will be held at Kistamässan on 12-13 January 2010, is no ordinary trade fair. It is a sales event and a meeting place for suppliers and buyers from the car workshop industry in Mälardalen, where the majority do not visit other trade fairs.
