Acorn Surface Technology is a specialist surface engineering company based in Kirkby-in-Ashfield, near Nottingham. Acorn is a wholly owned subsidiary of Aalberts Industries. First established in 1969, Acorn have traditionally specialised in hard, sulphuric and chromic anodising processes.
Acorn have developed their anodising capabilities through the last 40 years +, allowing us to specialise in complex processes, such as selective masking and the anodising of cast alloys.
In 1998, Acorn invested in the IVD aluminium coating technology, a REACH compliant Cadmium plating alternative. Acorn were the first company to be NADCAP accredited for this process, and have continually invested in this process to continue to provide a competitive advantage to our customers.
Acorn have traditionally had a keen focus on aerospace and defence, and as such, the quality of our processes. Both AS9100 and NADCAP accredited for all process, we are approved for a wide number of OEM's including Airbus, Bombardier, Boeing, Safran, Rolls-Royce and UTC.
We will be sharing our stand this year with fellow group company, Hauck Heat Treatment. Please come and visit us on stand O63.
