  • Minature Tensile Tester - MTI

    These miniature bend, fatigue, strain, compression and tensile testers are designed for use in Scanning Electron Microscopes (SEMs), Atomic Force Microscopes (AFMs) and Light Microscopes (LMs).

    The dual leadscrew design symmetrically loads sample while keeping them centred within the scopes field of view. 100, 1000 and 2000 pound versions are standard with a wide range of sample clamps, bending fixtures (3 and 4 point) and compression anvils. Custom mounting adapters are available for integration into virtually all major microscopy tools. Optional heaters and thermoelectric heaters are also offered for tensile testers under low and high temperature conditions.

  • SEM Nano Indenter

    The SEM Indenter is a compact test platform for in-situ materials characterization. The SEM Indenter has been developed to work inside scanning electron microscopes as well as light microscopes or synchrotrons. In its standard version, the SEM Indenter includes three long-range stick-slip piezoelectric actuators to position and test the samples with nano meter resolution. All actuators are equipped with position sensors to make automatic tests possible and improve productivity.

    Product Description

    On the market for 80 years, the King Brinell Tester units are lightweight, easy to manoeuvre and require only one operator, making them ideal for use as portable units. Versatile enough to test virtually any size and shape of metal specimen, these testers are easy to use. The operator simply places the specimen between the anvil and the test head, cranks the test head down onto the specimen, locking the tester in place, closes the pressure release valve, and pulls the hydraulic lever until desired load is reached.

    The tester applies up to a 3,000 kg load on a 10mm ball, making a lasting impression, which is available for re-reading at any time. A by-pass valve is automatically activated at the calibrated load, eliminating the chance of overloading. The impression is then read and recorded by the operator using either a E1-King Deep Reading Brinell Microscope or the G1- KING SCAN® IV automatic Brinell microscope. This portable Brinell hardness tester meets all international standards for Brinell testing including ASTM E-10 and ASTM E-110, British Standard #240, Pt.2, Sect.1 and JIS Standards, and is calibrated to 1/2 of 1% of load on equipment traceable to NIST Standards

    The reference point for the measure is the surface of the component itself, so even if operating following the Rockwell principle according to the international standards, measuring is not influenced by deflections due to incorrect placement, oxidation, grease, dust ect. as in traditional Rockwell testers. Surface preparation is needed only where measuring takes place. With the simple movement of the lever pre-load and load are applied, with the return movement load is taken away and the result will be displayed. Measuring takes no more than 3 seconds (a few more for very soft materials).

  • Handy Estatest X

    Handy Esatest X operates according to the ERNST patented ESATEST® principle of hardness determination through electrical resistance. The diamond indenter can be compared to a little potentiometer, which, while gradually penetrating into the material, obtains all the data (load-hardness) during the whole phase of load application. Thanks to the patented ESATEST working principle it is now possible with a simple indention to get all values corresponding to the different loads up to the maximum load applied thus allowing getting an indicative evaluation of the heat treatment status. The measurement is not influenced by deflection or bending of the specimen.

  • Dynatest SCX

    he purpose in studying and developing this instrument was to realize a portable hardness tester applying a heavy load, comparable to standard Rockwell loads. Also very important was the fact that testing would not be influenced by any deflection, elasticity or mass of the work piece. All this has been reached by developing a new dynamic system, which radically differs from the known ones where the test load, being given by an impact, is not precise but depends on the reaction it meets; for this reason, these systems can be used only for testing considerable masses free of deflection. In DYNATEST SCX, on the contrary, the load acts progressively on the indenter in a very short time and without any impact.

  • COMPUTEST SCX

    COMPUTEST SCX is a portable hardness tester which works with static load according to the Rockwell principle of preload and test load. With one pressure movement, preload (zero-setting is carried out electronically) and test load are activated. The hardness value is shown on the large backlit display as soon as the hand pressure comes to the end. COMPUTEST SCX can operate with all kinds of metals, without changing the indenter. Starting a test is very easy: you only need to select the desired scale on the keyboard and to apply the force on the instrument. A minimum surface preparation is needed.
