CG TEC was founded in 1996 under the Limited Liability Companies Act by Dieter Kipf, Klaus Zeh, Andrea Kipf and Oliver Kipf.

CG TEC LTD produces mainly GFRP carbon and GFRP glass fiber round profiles.

These profiles are preferably used where low weight, high breaking strength, corrosion resistance and durability is demanded. Metal round profiles are to be replaced by CFRP glass fiber and CFRP carbon in the future. CG TEC is able to successfully produce technical parts, small-scale series as well as high-volume series at the Spalt site.

Amongst other applications, our products are used in the automotive sector as antenna rods, in the aeronautical sector as carrier elements, in the sports sector as fitness bars, in the engineering sector as grappler arms for robots, in the medical sector as fixative and as handling system for automation. Telescopic systems for mine sweeping are another application.

Our new Spalt site is operating since 2006. Due to the flexibility of our staff we are also able to perform a two shift operation. We were also able to improve our productivity by optimized processing and shorter distances.

Our development department is continuously working on the improvement of the production processes and innovative products and act immediately on customer demands.

    Composite "just-in-time"

    The website www.carbonscout.de is a Profit Centre within CG TEC GmbH. We have taken it upon ourselves to deliver carbon and fibreglass products "just in time".
    All the products that you will find within our Carbonscout online shop will be delivered very promptly or within two weeks. Our shop provides a range of tubes, rods and panels made of carbon and fibreglass as well as finished CFRP and GFRP products for the sport and leisure sectors.
    Our objective is to supply product developers, engineers, buyers or private customers with carbon and fibreglass products. We can even deliver small quantities if required.


    CG TEC GmbH company profile

    CG TEC was founded as a GmbH (private limited company) in 1996 by Dieter Kipf, Klaus Zeh, Andrea Kipf and Oliver Kipf.

    The principal products manufactured by CG TEC GmbH are CFRP carbon and GFRP fibreglass. These profiles are used in applications where light weight, high strength, corrosion resistance and a long service life are required. In future, GFRP fibreglass and CFRP carbon will be used in every application that requires round metal profiles. CG TEC is able to produce technical components, small batches and for many sectors even large batches at its site in Spalt, Germany.

    At present, these products are used as radio aerials in the automotive industry, as bearing elements in aerospace, as fitness bars in the sports sector, robot gripper arms in mechanical engineering applications, and as handling systems in automation.

    The new production facilities have been up and running since December 2006. We currently operate a 2-shift system to meet the high levels of order intake. Our employees are totally on board. We have been able to increase productivity levels again by improving production workflows and shortening the intermediate stages.

    The development department is hard at work on improving workflows, developing new products and responding directly to customers' requirements.

    CFRP-carbon tubes varnished wracked surface structure with unidirectional carbon fabric coat layer

    Our CFRP carbon tubes are produced with prepreg wire rap technique (prepregs are resin impregnated weaves or textures).

    The tubes are composed of standard HT-carbon fibers (high-tension). HM- carbon fiber tubes (high modulus) are available upon request.

    The fiber parts per volume are nearly 60% with an epoxy resin matrix.

    The characteristics of the tubes can be influenced by the use of different textures.

    We offer following grain directions:
    Unidirectional fiber orientation (in the longitudinal direction of the tube): high resistance to bending
    90° fiber orientation (in radial direction of the tube): high pressure resistance against radial stress
    ± 45° fiber orientation: high torsion strength
    0°/90° fiber orientation (plain weave or structural weave): typical carbon optics

    Standard tubes are offered with unidirectional fiber orientation with a 0°/90° upper layer (high resistance to bending, high pressure resistance against radial stress and typical carbon optics)

    We are able to offer different fiber angles for special use as well as a combination of different fiber angles.

    Our CFRP-Carbon / GFRP-Fiber Glass / Aramid and Basalt Panels are produced with prepreg melt compression molding (prepregs are resin impregnated weaves or textures). The fiber parts per volume are nearly 60% with an epoxy resin matrix. We offer CFRP-carbon (carbon fiber), GFRP-fiber glass, Aramid (Kevlar), basalt or hybrid material (a combination of different materials).

  • pultruded endless-composite-profiles (spooled on drum)

    Endless rods with diagonally winding:
    These rods are extremely flexible. The surface is designed with a diagonal winding to make it fairly smooth. The resin provides high temperature resistance even in a bent condition.
    We are able to incorporate copper wires in the middle or equally spread at the outer area of the rod. Individual designs are possible. Rods for tunnel inspection, tunnel maintenance or even chimney sweep equipment are exclusively designed in this way.


    Endless rods with cross winding:
    These rods are characterized by their high stability. The cross winding stiffens the rod significantly. These rods are mainly used as reinforcement of plastic/synthetic profiles.

  • pultruded composite-profiles (piece goods)

    CFRP rods are pultruded and are composed of HT-carbon fibers (high tension). HM-carbon fiber (high modulus) or IMS-carbon fiber (intermediate modulus strength) are available on request.

    The fiber parts per volume are nearly 65% with an epoxy resin matrix. We also offer high temperature resin systems with temperature ranges above 150°C.

    Fiber orientation is unidirectional which means that the fibers are axially aligned.
