Phone +46-31-337 3100, info@flexlink.com, www.flexlink.com Strong sales start for the new generation stainless conveyors from FlexLink Since the launch at Interpack in May 2011, FlexLink’s new generation stainless conveyors have been given thumbs up by major, international companies within fast moving consumer goods, FMCG. The official launch, starting at Interpack on May 12, came out to be a great success and the good sales development is continuing. After only three months, the order intake has exceeded the full year targets with more than 50%. “The response from customers worldwide is very strong and we have now sold systems of the new generation stainless conveyors to the major, international groups within the fast moving consumer goods segment. In fact, we reached our full year targets on order intake only two months after the launch” comments Tommy Karlsson, product manager for the stainless conveyors at FlexLink. The applications sold have primarily been for packaging lines within a number of areas such as dairy products, packed dry and conserved food and personal products. Interest is also gathered from industries normally not using equipment in stainless but requiring the features of easy cleaning and an open design. The new generation stainless conveyors have been developed to meet the increasing requirements on capacity, total efficiency, system re-usability and cleanliness. The platform of conveyors in stainless steel is available in three widths, 85, 180 and 300 mm which are suited for handling products in production and packaging lines within the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and healthcare industry segments. Following the previously released new generation X85 conveyors in aluminum, the designations for the new stainless steel conveyors are X85X, X180X and X300X. The capacity requirements for stainless conveyors are high - the 85 mm wide version has an upper speed level of 120 m/min and the wider versions can run up to 80 m/min. FlexLink has designed a robust stainless steel conveyor with a low noise, considerably lower than industry standards.

• Wide Belt Conveyor FlexLink launch the new modular wide belt conveyor The new modular plastic belt conveyor system from FlexLink is the efficient solution for the transportation of large individual items and flows of smaller products. Everything in the wide belt conveyor, from the smallest component to horizontal plain bends and fully functioning conveyor modules, is standardized for easy engineering, easy maintenance and trouble-free operation. The flat, smooth belt surface minimizes the risk of scratches and the sturdy guide rails prevent items from falling off, allowing for the safe handling of sensitive products.” Capacity and flexibility throughout The conveyor is available as components, modules or a complete system. The three widths, 322, 424 and 626 mm make it suited for handling cartons, bundles, bags and other large individual items that require the stable support of a wide chain. Equally important, it allows large flows of smaller products. The vertical bends and a length up to 15 m allows efficient and simple layouts in three dimensions without additional elevators in constant flow. With a maximum conveyor speed of 40 m/min, the capacity is setting new standards for modular belt conveyors.
