Dorset identification b.v. develops RFID system and bespoke electronics/software & firmware.
We are manufacturer for the Trovan® RFID systems that use PSK modulated tags. This modulation technique is more robust in harsh environments.
We also make a active tag that can be used as a wireless sensor.

  • Active RTLS tag

Small active transponder with 64-bit unique address which can be used in a variety of applications.
    General
This small wireless tag communicates on a 2.4GHz free band with its parent. These parents are base stations who can talk to several of these tags. The base stations can communicate with a computer or server either directly (RS232) or via a RS485 network.
The tags can be fitted with several sensors, like temperature,
movement etcetera. They can also be configured as a miniature
logger and will than continue to work even when it is outside the
    range of its parent.
    Applications
    · Wireless sensor network
    · Asset tracking
    · Real Time Locating
    · Logging

  • Multiplexer for 4 antennas

Applications that don’t require a quick response, no fast
moving object, and also don’t require a large reading
distance can use this multiplexer board. Up to 4 antennas
can be attached to a single LID650 decoder board.
The special LID650 firmware will poll each antenna, and if
an ID is read the antenna number is added to the string
    send by the decoder.
    Applications
     Tool recognition
     Machine automation

  • USB Data logger

The USB data logger can be used to store large amounts of data on a USB Stick(Millions of records). The logger is connected via the RS485 port to a LID608, LID650 or LID665 decoder. All ID numbers transmitted by the decoder are read by the data logger, date/time stamped and stored on the USB stick. The Unit address and the baud rate of the data logger can be set by using DIP switches.
The datalogger has LED indications for power, Rx & Tx communication and for Storage active (becomes active when a USB stick is inserted).
A pushbutton to savely remove the USB stick is located next to the USB stick.
The logger is recognized by the PC software of the LID650/LID665. Date and time are set via this software. Each day the logger creates automatically a file (CSV format).
    Applications
All applications that require to store a large amount of data.
