Since 1988 Rico Sicherheitstechnik AG has been developing, manufacturing and selling products which effectively prevent the spread of explosions in industrial installations and seal air ventilation ducts 100% gastight. The two gastight butterfly valves RAPIDO and QUADRO are some of our most important products and the explosion isolation valves VENTEX ESI, the explosion isolation slide valve RICO SLIDE VALVE RSV . All products are available in various nominal widths and can be customised to meet special requirements.

Rico gastight butterfly valves for the highest leak-tight demands

The innovative Rico Sicherheitstechnik AG butterfly valves are designed to throttle air flow and to provide 100% gastight sealing. We offer two butterfly valves to satisfy the highest safety demands: The round RAPIDO or the rectangular QUADRO. The two executions are available are: STANDARD (with smooth sealing surface) and PERFECT (with control groove). The valves are characterised by their compact and lightweight design.

Both products have been used globally for many years in numerous ventilation applications.

The RAPIDO and QUADRO butterly can be positioned as desired either manually or via a pneumatic or electric drive. The PERFECT version allows you to check for 100% sealing at any time using a hand pump and pressure gauge. The testing pressure builds up in a recessed control groove in the housing. The seal of the butterfly ensures that none of the pressure can escape.

gastight fire protection valves

Double wall constructed valve with smooth sealing surface for the gastight closure of an air or gas flow in case of fire.

The gastight fire protection valve is available in round or rectangular design as a wafer. The butterfly is built as "sandwich-constuction". The first layer is to shut off against flames, heat and thermal insulation. The second layer, with the smooth sealing surface, is to shut off the air or gas flow gastight. This at a impingement of the flames of max. 850°C and a time of max. 10 minutes.
