Advanced Engineering 2017 today announced a raft of speakers and conference topics, including talks from Boeing, Nissan, ALFED and Composites UK. Topics will include how specific engineering  problems have been overcome, as well as more strategic issues such as the fourth industrial revolution, Brexit, additive manufacturing and advances in aluminium engineering.The five co-locating zones within the show will have various discussions and keynote speakers during the two - day conference; below is a brief insight into the issues that visitors can expect to be covered by each specialism.

Lasers have the power to transform manufacturing

At the forthcoming Advanced Engineering exhibition, 1-2 November 2017, the Association of Industrial Laser Users (AILU) will be hosting a Laser Manufacturing Hub in the centre of the Performance Metals Zone at the NEC in Birmingham.  The Laser Manufacturing Hub will comprise 14 organisations within the supply chain of laser manufacturing.  From source manufacturers for high power fibre lasers through standard machinery suppliers and specialist laser integration experts, all the way to subcontract service providers, the companies represented in the Laser Manufacturing Hub will be able to advise visitors on the suitability of their products and processes for laser manufacturing.  The zone will include samples of components which demonstrate the capabilities of laser manufacturing in a range of industries, materials and processes.  A lounge area in the centre of the Hub will allow visitors and exhibitors to discuss and network during the show in a relaxed and comfortable environment.

UK’s largest engineering show publishes league table of top 20 high value manufacturing hotspots & opens visitor registration

Advanced Engineering 2017 today (Tuesday 13 June) published its ranking of the UK’s high value manufacturing hotspots and at the same time opened registrations for this year’s show. At the top of the league table came Bristol with an “advanced engineering impact” score of 5179, pipping Birmingham to the post.

UK’s largest engineering forum awards Bristol’s manufacturers 1st place as registrations open

The gauntlet has been thrown down to the cream of Bristol’s manufacturers to showcase their capabilities at Advanced Engineering 2017, the UK’s largest engineering exhibition, and at the same time registrations have just been opened for this year’s show. Last year Bristol was in top position for visitors and exhibitors with an “advanced engineering impact” score of 5179.

Advanced Engineering responds to UK's pressing need to embrace Industry 4.0

Advanced Engineering 2017 has announced it's return to the NEC from 1-2 November 2017 with the addition of a new show zone - Connected Manufacturing - providing the annual UK engineering gathering with a dedicated new arena to exchange Industry 4.0 knowledge, ideas and technologies.
