Michel De Maeyer became Managing Director of easyFairs Belgium early in 2012.

Before joining easyFairs, De Maeyer was Sales and Marketing Director at Certipost, the leading provider of electronic document exchange services and electronic identity services, where he was responsible for the start up and growth of the sales & marketing, product & solution management, business services and business development operations.

From 1997 to 2006 he held several important posts at Belgacom, Belgium’s full-service telecom provider, including corporate accounts management and finally Marketing Manager, Small Business Customers.

Earlier in his career De Maeyer worked in the retail sector with Vespa Belgium and the Makro Retail Group, managing the So Watt electrical goods and multimedia unit.

De Maeyer studied Marketing and Communications Management in Antwerp before gaining a Master’s degree in Marketing at the Solvay Business School.
