United Kingdom

Established in 1976, today Stop-choc Ltd is part of the Hutchinson group, the rubber and chemicals division of TOTAL and world leaders in the manufacture of rubber, elastomeric and plastic products.

Stop-choc has operated a manufacturing unit at Slough, primarily for the design, development and production of illuminated display panels, anti-vibration mounts, and avionics racking and structures. They are also the sole distributors in the UK for Desapro's range of light-weight aluminium transit cases.

Stop-choc design and manufacture anti vibration mounts, vibration isolation products & vibration isolators, shock mounts, shock isolation systems, anti vibration racking and transit cases, offshore mounts and illuminated control panels.

We provide anti vibration mount solutions using the latest technology in highly damped materials reducing amplification at resonance and providing excellent durability in severe environments.

The control panel division of Stop-choc design and manufacture cockpit illuminated control panels in aluminium and acrylic using filament lamp, LED and electroluminescent light source technology.

Control panels and keyboards include push button switching systems, logic circuitry and displays, integrated within the panel body. In addition to aircraft use, our illuminated panels and control systems are also used in a wide variety of other industries including flight simulation, defence, rail, naval and marine.

Stop-choc also design and manufactures light weight aluminium and stainless steel trays, bases, racking systems and associated hardware for installing electronics and avionics equipment on board aircraft, military vehicles and naval vessels.

Formerly known as EDAK, the specialist transit case business has now been acquired and re-branded under new management as Desapro.

Stop-choc supply the Desapro range of transit cases for specialist packaging requirements and acts as Desapro's UK representative.
