Matthew Benyon joined the easyFairs Group as Managing Director, easyFairs United Kingdom & Ireland (UKI) in March 2009. He brings considerable experience in launching and growing events in the United Kingdom and abroad, as well as expertise in brand development.

Prior to joining easyFairs, Benyon was Group Exhibitions Director for Expomedia Group plc where he was in charge of the Group’s portfolio of global exhibitions covering the UK, India, Germany and Russia. Between February 2002 and May 2008 he was Managing Director at London-based Montgomery International, the division of the Montgomery Group responsible for launching key brands abroad. During this time he also served as a Director of Montgomery Exhibitions, which oversees all companies in the Montgomery Group.

Before launching Montgomery International, Benyon was a Director and Project Manager with Overseas Trade Show Agencies Ltd, London. Between 1996 and 1998 he was a Project Manager and from 1998 a Director of Overseas Trade Show Agencies Ltd of London, where he was responsible for team management and the promotion of a portfolio of international events. He previously worked as a market analyst and marketeer with Robert Bosch GmbH in Stuttgart.
