New London events show enjoys impressive debut
Corporate and professional event organisers firmly penned easyFairs® londonlaunch LIVE into their events diaries as the new show started life in impressive fashion.
The event attracted 1,599 visitors to Earls Court over the two days (25-26 June). And exhibitors – which included both leading and niche venues, caterers, entertainers, staffing agencies, event management companies, production specialists, and creative designers – reported strong new business leads from a stream of event organisers.
Peter Heath, MD of easyFairs® UK, said: “It was a stunning debut for easyFairs® londonlaunch LIVE – there was a real buzz on the show floor, busy stands, and a wealth of exhibitors across the events spectrum. The stands were vibrant but there were no distractions to the main objective of bringing venues, suppliers and events organisers together to do business.
“I’ve had overwhelmingly positive feedback from exhibitors who’ve said it was a refreshing change to be part of a show that was low cost and minimum effort, but which delivered maximum return on investment. In fact, many have said they’ll be reviewing their show options as a result. I’m really confident and excited about the future for easyFairs® londonlaunch LIVE.”
Visitors were also attracted by a lively seminar line-up, which included topics such as event budgeting to beat the credit crunch, the drive for eco-friendly events, the power of live marketing, effective networking, and the use of new technology to boost conference and seminar interaction.
And after the show it was playa time as a Spanish beach party – themed by Staar Productions – transformed Earls Court’s north hall into a little piece of Ibiza, complete with palm trees, sun loungers, a beach and entertainment from Ministry of Sound. Plus, an abundance of delicious drinks and canapés provided by Leith’s.
Anne Timpany from show partners londonlaunch.com, added: “The VIP Party has already achieved legendary status after just a year – it was a brilliant event and many guests said it was the best exhibitor party they’d experienced in the events industry. “By creating a platform for our users and clients to network face to face, easyFairs and londonlaunch.com achieved our aim of bringing our virtual world to life. We’re looking forward to building on a firm foundation with easyFairs with a exciting event line-up in 2009.”
Exhibitor testimonials Stephanie Vaughan, from global conference and event creators MVM London, said: "We had enquiries from several corporate event organisers – exactly the kind of people we wanted to meet – and took a number of briefs ranging from Christmas parties to large business conferences for our London office and also a few Middle East enquiries which we’ll handle from our offices in Dubai. I think we'll get a great ROI from being here...we would definitely consider exhibiting again."
And Mark Griffin, from historical reconstruction and event specialists Griffin Historical, added: "There were plenty of visitors with real purchasing power; I've scheduled a couple of meetings with potential new clients and have numerous other strong leads to follow up. I even met one visitor who represents a business federation in China...I do work around the globe and may soon be adding Beijing to my list of venues!"
