Heidi Smitt is manager of the non-industrial exhibitions business unit at easyFairs Belgium. As such she is responsible for an expanding portfolio of shows that currently includes easyFairs® EMIF, easyFairs® SHOP, easyFairs® MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT, easyFairs® BUSINESS GIFTS and (from 2009) easyFairs® HR PERFORMANCE.

Before joining easyFairs, Smitt was a
highly successful account director (2003-2007) and account manager (1999-2002) with the commercial TV channels in Flanders, VT4 and VIJFtv, where she was responsible for 95% of company turnover and in charge of business development and commercial policy.

From 1997 to 1999 Smitt was data collection coordinator with Market Response Belgium, a full service market research agency, having built a career with publishing houses and communications service agencies. She has a degree in Press and Communication Sciences from the University of Ghent.
